In 2018, scientists at the Chinese Academy of Sciences successfully obtained Bimaternal and Bipaternal mice through the editing of imprinted genes, and for the first time in the world, mammalian Bipaternal reproduction was achieved. This film has tried to create an intertwined body of science and metaphysics. Switching between objective and subjective perspectives, it explores the possibilities of the beginnings of human as a mammal through interviews and ritual documentary, celebrating the revelatory capacities of science while inviting the viewer to consider the philosophical questions behind this technology.
